METRO FM'S 'TALK WITH FAITH MANGOPE' WINS PRESTIGIOUS 2026 NEW YORK FESTIVALS RADIO AWARD
Johannesburg, South Africa - Wednesday, 27 May 2026 – METRO FM, South Africa’s leading urban radio station, is proud to announce that its flagship current affairs programme, Talk with Faith Mangope, has won a prestigious 2026 New York Festivals Radio Award, marking a standout achievement as the station celebrates its 40th year on air.
The programme was recognised in the Radio Awards’ current affairs and documentary category for its compelling submission themed Holding Power to Account, which showcased rigorous journalism, public-interest storytelling, and impactful interviews that elevate accountability in society.
Hosted by seasoned broadcaster Faith Mangope, Talk with Faith Mangope airs Monday to Thursday from 19:00 – 21:00, delivering in-depth analysis and informed conversation on the issues shaping South Africa and the world. The programme covers politics, governance, social justice, economics, community concerns, and breaking news, bringing listeners authoritative perspectives, diverse voices, and meaningful debate in a trusted prime-time slot.
