Robert Marawa
Robert Marawa studied for a Law degree at the University of
Witwatersrand from 1992 only to be bitten by the broadcasting bug in
1996.
He joined SABC1 when the channels were relaunched in their
present format of SABC1,2,3 respectively in 1996, as a Zulu and
English continuity presenter
After almost two years on Simunye boredom crept in and the
dream of being a sports anchor became priority, something that had
always been a childhood ambition
Robert officially started at the then Topsport as an anchor of the
popular live soccer show Laduma in late 1997, three days after
successfully going through an audition
He was thrown straight into the deep-end of France World Cup 1998
with a total of 48 games to share between two anchors
Robert "Madluphuthu" Marawa is currently hosting the '083 Sports @6' show from 6-7pm, weekdays on Metro FM.
He also hosts soccer shows on Supersport 3.
