08 February : Musicians send "SOS Saving OurSelves — Help for Haiti"

Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Trey Songz and Robin Thicke were just some of the big names called upon by Wyclef Jean to donate their time for Haitians. The producer and singer opened a Miami-based concert and telethon for relief aid for the small Caribbean homeland. Haiti was hit by a massive earthquake that left untold devastation and killed thousands at the beginning of the year.

Busta Rhymes, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Queen Latifah and Pharrell all came onboard to urge viewers and concertgoers to remember Haiti's need for investment in its infrastructure, along with food, water, shelter and medicine. Phones were manned by both musicians and sports heroes such as tennis player Serena Williams, filmmaker Spike Lee and former boxer Mike Tyson, all of which was aired live BET, MTV, VH1 and Centric, raising $66 million.
