28 October : Rapper says new album is not ready for this year
Competition in the American music industry has upped the ante with hot releases from Kanye West, 50 Cent, Ludacris and maybe Eminem due this year. But Jay-Z isn’t worried. The “Jockin” rapper, who was rumoured to release The Blueprint 3 later this year may now only drop the hot album early 2009.
According to reports, Jigga’s new single “Jockin” that was released two months ago, has not conceptualised a video yet and news on the rapper’s album is also scarce. The only confirmed information released so far is that Jigga and Kanye have done a bunch of songs together. Rumours flew around the industry that Kanye would be producing the entire album but reports broke later that Pharrell Williams told MTV "Of course," continuing with only "He don't like for you to say so much."
