07 January: Howzit My Brother I am at Aghanistan flying for the UN World food program and on Sunday we flew to Islamabad in Pakistan and on our way back I kept checking my watch and the other crew members started to ask wzup I told them about your show I could'nt miss bcoz its my connection with the people base Mzansi and my wife Anzo she loves your show and it automatically rubbed to me, on our approach visibilty was so bad it was snowing I told the guys to suck it up this is what we trained for and used ILS we landed I was the first off to see the pax out then I rushed to the house jumped into my laptop just to hear the voice of Africa, thats what you are my brother and your work keeps the spirits up thanks you really inspire me in all megers. As I write, my heart beats heavier and harder at the thought of what my message entails.
My name is Kabelo Khanye, and I am a Matriculant at Christ Church College in Midrand, North of Johannesburg. Recently a dream I never thought would ever come true, came true! It all began four years ago when I first entered at my then High school Sagewood, also in Midrand. I remember having to put down my name on some class list, and when i turned around to ask someone for a pen, there she was ... the girl I knew from that exact moment when my heart stopped for a moment, I had just tumbled hard for: I knew this was the girl that had me and would for a very long time.

I never had the chance to tell her how deep my feelings were for her because she was in a relationship with someone else. Someone much taller and appealing than I. The next year when I left that high school, I knew it wouldn't be the end of how I felt for her, I thought, however, it would be easier or atleast it was meant to be easier, for me to move on. But seeing as we did have common friends, we would eventually be bumping to each other at parties or school events, and she must have caught on that I liked her.

This year, it was inevitable for our school to host us a Matric Dance. This, God-willingly, is my final year of High school. Boyfriend or no boyfriend, I said to myself "Kabelo, this is YOUR chance for a date with your dream girl". After frantically asking people around for her numbers, I called her with much anticipation. With each ring, the nerves began kicking in.

I'm proud to say, she agreed to come with me and my dream of her was even more correct as we chatted and danced the night away. On our way to the Matric Dance, she mentioned her love for ne-yo (whose both our favourite artist- one of the things we found out we have in common), but was also dissapointed that the tickets to his concert were sold out. At that moment, i saw an angel tear up.

May you please help me in getting the GIRL OF MY DREAMS meet her icon. I know for a fact that expirience will be something both her and i will share and always remember just how crazy I am for her. I am WILLING TO DO ANYTHING to put a smile on her face ...YOU SHOULD SEE HER SMILE: the world lights up.
At her school she is the headgirl, so i also call her "MISS INDEPENDANT" beacuse of her representation of that song to me.

Next year, I dont know what will happen. life may take us our seperate ways, however, i have this year to let her know how i feel and it's no coincidence our favourite artist comes around the time we finally get to become close.
