METRO FM invades the City of Polokwane
METRO FM invades the City of Polokwane this week for the Polokwane Literary Festival. Through the station’s property the Book Club Tour, we will be in the City from Thursday the 26th through to Saturday the 28th.
This is a concept that originated 6 years ago and it aims to promote the culture of reading in general and to promote the culture of buying books especially amongst the aspirational Black audiences. But over and above that, it also encourages interest in literacy.
The sequence of events in Polokwane will be as follows:
THURSDAY, 26th July
An exclusive gala dinner at Peter Mokaba Stadium which will be attended by Hon. Clr. Freddy Greaver, Executive Mayor of Polokwane Municipality(with Keynote Address by Prof. Mokgoatsana ) and other influential executives.
Outside Broadcast: - 19:30 – 21:00 METRO FM TALK with Criselda Kananda.

Writers workshop, Book Fair, Busking, Book Sales, Exhibition at the Library Gardens

Wow.. Polokwane came alive with the Literary Festival & this was only the begining.. Thanks to the Municipality & Metro FM & sponsors..not forgetting the team that worked tirelessly to see the festival through..i applaud every1 from management to the audiance..this was not gonna b possible without u.. we r now on the world map.....
